Near the 200m, brushed. rdr reported had to work reasonably hard at the start to obtain a forward position, however when placed under pressure in the home straight, mount failed to respond & disappointing. A post-race vet exam revealed a slow recovery. Sample taken. Co-Tnr also surprised colt did not show more early speed & disappointed with performance, adding intention to give the colt a short freshen up & would also advise if anything was to come to light in the following days.
