02/10/24, 2.92L, 1400m, Eagle Farm R6, Ladbrokes Odds Surge BM68 Handicap, James Orman (58.0kg), Bar 9, 800m:2 400m:2, 1-24.17, Sectionals: 35.47, Prize: $760 Bonus: $0 Starting: $2.50F

Began awkwardly. Trapped wide early & allowed to stride to take up a leading position near the 1000m. Raced wide for majority. When quest re performance, Rdr reported not intention to settle so far forward, but after being trapped wide early, obliged to pressure mount to obtain a leading position rather than being trapped wide & gelding is better suited settling further back. Tnr reported gelding was disadvantaged with gelding leading, though doesn't anticipate anything wrong with gelding, will report back on its condition. Post race vet exam revealed no abs.
