When questioned by Stewards in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance, jockey J. Bayliss advised that the mare enjoyed a comfortable lead without being overly pressured throughout, however when asked to quicken from the 400m, it failed to respond to his riding and proved very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer R. Lipp advised that in light of today’s performance, the mare will now be retired.

Whilst weakening approaching the 300m, became awkwardly placed at the heels of DOWNLOADING, which shifted out to improve. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be showing some soreness in the near fore foot. Trainer R. Lipp advised that the mare is better suited on rain-affected tracks and would now be sent for an immediate spell.
