Slow to begin. When questioned, Rdr explained with blinkers on, asked to take up a more forward position-said after being slow to begin, rode gelding to sit off the pace, however as obliged to race three-wide without cover passing the 1600m, he elected to push on and take the lead near the 1400m. Tnr confirmed instructions, however; added it has always been the intention to race in a forward position but gelding has been slow to muster speed in recent starts. Tnr reminded of obligations re any proposed change of tactics
