Hung out rounding the home turn before hanging in under pressure in the home straight when giving ground and putting in a number of awkward strides near the 100m. Jockey advised that, although the gelding raced greenly throughout, it proved disappointing based on its recent barrier trial effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery.
