Raced three wide for the majority of the event. Trainer G. Cornish advised that his intention was to spell the horse. Stewards advised Mr Cornish that the horse will be required to barrier trial prior to the resumption of racing.

Tired noticeably from the 500m before being retired from the event. The gelding was found to have bled from both nostrils. Connections were advised that the gelding will be stood down from racing for a period of three months and required to trial satisfactorily in the presence of stewards over 1000m prior to the resumption of racing.

When racing keenly between runners approaching the 800m was steadied and shifted back towards the rail. Put in an awkward stride approaching the 600m and was retired from the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer B. Smith was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
