Began awkwardly. Leaving the 1000m raced with its head in the air when being restrained. Stewards questioned stable representative M. Currie in regards to the improved performance from the mares recent start a Ipswich on Friday 4 August 2017. Mr Currie advised that the mares form prior to last start was fair and whilst on face value the run at Ipswich looked poor, its late sectional times were some of the best of the race and for that reason the stable were of the view that the greater distance of todays event would be to the horses benefit. Stewards noted the explanation.
