Hung out after leaving the 800m and ran wide on straightening, enabling runners to improve to the inside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a mild case of thumps. A further veterinary examination revealed lameness in off foreleg. Trainer T. Sears was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
