Slow to begin. When the pace steadied near the 700m had to be checked to avoid heels.

Rider reported at scale that when her mount began well she elected to press forward and take a position outside the leader.

Rider questioned re tactics adopted - stated filly began well and elected to steady as he did not wish to be placed in a speed battle with other runners. However, when UMBERTO crossed him at 1100m he had intended to sit outside that gelding but was prevented from doing so and was forced to race behind the leaders until the entrance to the straight. Added in his opinion filly is looking for a further distance than today’s 1350m and did not quicken as he had expected. Vetted - no abnormalities.
