When asked to comment on the performance, rider reported the gelding travelled comfortably throughout the event, however proved disappointing when placed under pressure. He further added the gelding would derive fitness benefit from the event, having not raced for an extended period prior to this preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
