During early stages when being restrained to obtain cover commenced to over-race, shifted in abruptly. When questioned as to disappointing performance, Jockey D Griffin explained the mare had a tendency to race keenly early. He added that after settling well and having a favourable run through the middle stages, was under extreme pressure from the 600m and proved very disappointing. His opinion would be better suited to races over a shorter distance. Post-race vet. ex. revealed a slower than normal recovery rate.

As the gelding had not started in nearly 2 years, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination which cleared the gelding to take its place in the field. Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which trailed the field throughout and finished a distance last, revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer K Gruenefeld was advised the gelding would be required to officially trial prior to next start.
