Began awkwardly. From the wide barrier was permitted to stride forward and lead. Compounded from the 600m, Rider R Fradd reported that the mare did not feel comfortable in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the right hind. Trainer J Manzelmann was advised the mare would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.
