After leading the event, tired over the final 300m, finishing in last position. Stewards questioned jockey J. Orman regarding the poor performance of the horse. Jockey Orman stated that he was instructed to assume the lead if possible and attempt to get the gelding to settle, however it overraced badly before tiring from the final 500m.
