ALICE COOPER

Queensland Off-The-Track proudly introduces Alice Cooper as a QOTT Acknowledged Retrainer.

Alice is the owner-operator of a breeding, training and agistment property that she appropriately describes as ‘horse heaven’. This coupled with 40 years experience owning and riding/training horses, plus 25 years working in global and national veterinary pharmaceutical companies, Alice has a wealth of knowledge and experience that is perfect for retraining and rehoming retired racehorses.

Alice started her life with horses as young rider at Pony Club and worked her way through the competition ranks in eventing and dressage, competing up to Advanced level. When Alice first receives horses off the track, she assesses them for behavioural or health issues and addresses this before any retraining commences. Alice takes great pride in placing the right horse into the right home.

“I enjoy taking retired racehorses and finding them a new purpose, whatever it may be. Addressing any health issues as well as providing appropriate retraining gives them the opportunity to live a long, happy and useful life after racing.”

Alice holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biology) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Science (Animal Health). Alice is a an accredited Introductory Level Equestrian Australia Coach and an Equestrian Australia Dressage Judge G Level.
