The Queensland Off-The-Track (QOTT) Program is thrilled to return to the 2024 Royal Queensland Show with a stellar line-up of events celebrating retired racehorses and greyhounds.
Showjumping Showcase On Sunday, 11 August, and Monday, 12 August, the QOTT Program Showjumping Showcase will take centre stage at the Brisbane Showgrounds, offering $75,000 in prize money across increased 1.20m and new 1.05m classes. This event, held exclusively for retired racehorses, will proudly present over 35 horse and rider combinations.
Event times are as follows:
- 105cm Showjumping – Sunday, 11 August at 2pm
- 120cm Showjumping – Monday, 12 August at 4pm

Thoroughbred and Standardbred Day Monday, 12 August, will also feature the prestigious “Thoroughbred and Standardbred Day,” with over $25,000 in prizes across 18 classes, showcasing the versatility of these breeds. QOTT will highlight retired racehorses in various Led and Under Saddle classes, along with a renewed partnership with the Horsing Around Show featuring acclaimed horse trainer Dave Manchon.
Greyhound Sweepstakes This year's event also promises an exciting showcase of our beloved greyhounds. The Racing Queensland Greyhound Sweepstakes will feature over 60 greyhounds from various stages of their careers, with public interaction and a hotly contested canine competition to determine the best of breed. Esteemed trainers Jedda Cutlack, Jemma Daley, and Adam McIntosh will present their greyhounds and offer insights into the industry. Additionally, representatives from QRIC’s Greyhound Adoption Program will be available to discuss adoption opportunities.
