Completed

The Sunshine Coast Turf Club (SCTC) has finished a $7.4 million stabling project at Corbould Park. The venture, supported by Racing Queensland and the SCTC will accommodate 128 additional horses and includes the construction of four new barns, walkers and hose-down areas. With construction having commenced in the second half of 2022, stabling at Corbould Park has now expanded to 384 horses, with more than 270 jobs created throughout the project.

Following an $8.9 million redevelopment of Corbould Park in late 2021, the SCTC has further reinforced its position as one of Australia's top training and racing facilities. The enhancements included the installation of an all-weather Polytrack, drainage improvements to its training tracks, and installing a new plastic rail.

SCTC CEO John Miller, expressed that the new stabling facilities are a considerable boost for the club, allowing up to 600 horses to be trained on-course. This expansion will support the 66 race meetings scheduled for the 2023/24 season, establishing it as the world's most raced grass track.
