Work is progressing on the remediation of the Eagle Farm track with the turf and the organic layer removed off-site.
While wet weather last weekend has added some challenges, the primary contractor has removed over 50% of the existing sand profile to be stockpiled in readiness for the blending process.
After rigorous testing the new sandy loam material will be mixed with the existing sand and applied to the track.
The turf required for the track completion is still growing well in-situ at the turf farm.
Racing Queensland and the BRC will continue to update the industry on remediation progress.
