Ipswich Turf Club – Wednesday 6 December – Additional Races Programed

Following the abandonment of the Ipswich TC race meeting on Friday 1 December & after consultation with Australian Trainers Association, consideration has been given by RQ to the SEQ race programs over the next 7-10 days.

And, whilst the upcoming programs provide a number of alternative options for the majority of horses denied the opportunity to race at the abandoned Ipswich ITC meeting, RQ has added two new races to the ITC program for the meeting on Wednesday 6 December:

• Benchmark 75 1350m (RQ Summer Provincial Series Heat)

Of $20,000.  1^st $12,800, 2^nd $4,000, 3^rd $2,000, 4^th $800, 5^th $400

Note:  This is a new race (as opposed to it being transferred from 1 December) hence new nominations are required.  Nominations for this race will close at 9:00am, Monday 4 December. 

• Class 6 Plate  1000m

Of $20,000.  1^st $12,800, 2^nd $4,000, 3^rd $2,000, 4^th $800, 5^th $400

Note:  This is a new race (as opposed to it being transferred from 1 December) hence new nominations are required.  Nominations for this race will close at 9:00am, Monday 4 December. 

Trainers are also reminded that under the auspices of Rule LR.37. horses which accepted for, but were denied the opportunity to race at the abandoned ITC meeting, are able to nominate for other races on the program at the race meeting on 6 December.

RQ will also adopt an aggressive approach to the division of races throughout the next week following the abandonment.
