Metropolitan Midweek Race Meeting – Wednesday 2 May – Transferred to Toowoomba Turf Club

RQ confirms the following changes to the 2017/18 Race Dates Calendar:

• Wednesday 2 May – was Brisbane RC at Doomben, but is now Toowoomba TC (& retained as a day meeting); &
• Saturday 5 May – was Toowoomba Turf Club (Twilight) but commensurate with the above change, has been relinquished.

The 2 May meeting will retain its metropolitan status & the prizemoney associated with it will be at standard metropolitan midweek level.

The changes have been necessary to ease the burden on the racing surface at Doomben leading into that venue’s important & increased winter carnival commitments throughout May & June.

The amendments will be included in the March & subsequent editions of the RACE magazine.
