Race 4 – Silver Fox (5) is having his first race in this region after previously racing with Liam Birchley. His recent form has been disappointing but a change of scenery may turn things around. He looks an each way chance.
Jockey Comment: His early runs were very promising but he hasn’t done a lot lately. His first-up run wasn’t too bad when fifth at Caloundra. He’s drawn a little awkwardly but I think he has to be some chance coming to a weaker race at Rockhampton. Jim O’Shea is a good trainer and I’m sure he’ll present the horse well.

Race 5 – Our Boy Pendles (4) gave nothing else a chance when winning here over 1200m last start. He has a terrific record at the track and is undefeated third-up. He will run them along and could prove hard to catch.
Jockey Comment: I think he will be really hard to beat. This race is a bit stronger than the other day but he won really well when racing up on the speed. I can’t see any reason why Jared would want to change the tactics, so if we can get a similar run he’ll be a strong chance.

Race 7 – He’s All Heart (1) will appreciate the drop in class after struggling last start. He found the line strongly when resuming the start prior. He’s up in distance but back in this class looks a leading contender.
Jockey Comment: This is a big drop in class coming from Class 6 to 0-55 grade. His first-up run was very good when he dropped back and flew home at Mackay. (The second-placed horse) Cyclone Fugitive came out and won by a big space at his next start. I wouldn’t be surprised if he runs some sort of a race.
