Victorian trainer Rob Britton has confirmed a strong team of runners to contest the 2018 UBET Queensland Winter Greyhound Racing Carnival.
Britton, who claimed the UBET Gold Cup with Fanta Bale in 2017, will arrive in Brisbane on Wednesday with a six-strong team in tow, including Sandown Cup quinella Tornado Tears and Rippin' Sam.
He will also bring Bolt Like Bekim, Benali, Barcali and Back On Lava.
Tornado Tears took his career record to 10 wins from 17 starts when he claimed the Group 1 Sandown Cup Final 715m on May 24.
Heats of the UBET Gold Cup get under way at Albion Park on Thursday night, where last week's Winter Chase winner Champagne Sally will be Queensland's main hope.
The night will also feature heats of the Group 3 Flying Amy.
