SEQ Race Dates Calendar Amendments – August

RQ confirms that  following consultation with Brisbane RC, RQ has made the following changes to the Race Dates Calendar for season 2018/19:

• Saturday 25 August, was Brisbane RC at Doomben, is now Sunshine Coast TC.  Commensurate with the change, the following amendments have been made to the (now) SCTC program:

1. Open Handicap – was 1350m, is now 1400m
2. Open Handicap – was 1050m, is now 1000m
3. Benchmark 75 Handicap – was 1350m, is now 1400m
4. Benchmark 70 Handicap – was 1050m, is now 1000m

All other detail pertaining to this race meeting remains as has been previously published, including the prizemoney allocation.

• Sunday 26 August, was Sunshine Coast TC, is now Beaudesert RC, off Tuesday 21 August.  As a consequence of the change the following race has been added to the program:

QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate SW 1400m

For QTIS Three-Year-old-Fillies:

Of $33,000.  1^st $22,500, 2^nd $6,450, 3^rd $3,300, 4^th $750

For QTIS Three-Year-Old Colts & Geldings:

Of $27,000.  1^st $18,250, 2^nd $5,300, 3^rd $2,700, 4^th $750

For Non-QTIS Horses

Of $15,000.  1^st $9,750, 2^nd $3,000, 3^rd $1,500, 4^th $750

There will also be changes to the prizemoney allocation of the remaining races on the program. These changes are 2 x Maiden races (were $14k, are now $15k) and 5 x remaining races (were $15k, are now $16k) in addition to the aforementioned added race.  The reminder of the program will remain as has been previously published for the Beaudesert RC meeting & it will now be an 8 race card.

As a consequence of the change, there will now be no Queensland Thoroughbred product on Tuesday 21 August.

• Wednesday 29 August, was BRC at Doomben, is now an Ipswich TC Midweek Metropolitan meeting, off Friday 31 August.  As a consequence of the change the following race has been added to the program:

Class 3 Handicap 2150m

Of $25,000.  1^st $15,250, $5,125, $2,625, 4^th $1,250, 5^th $750

There will also be changes to the prizemoney allocation of the remaining races on the program.  These changes are 3 x Maiden races (were $15k, are now $20k) and 4 x remaining races (were $16, are now $25k).  The remainder of the program will remain as has been previously published for the Ipswich TC meeting.

• Friday 31 August, was Ipswich TC, is now Mackay TC, off Tuesday 28 August.  The program as has been previously published for the Mackay TC race meeting will be retained.

As a consequence of the change, there will now be no Queensland Thoroughbred product on Tuesday 28 August.
