Following a QRIC Stewards track inspection, the Gayndah JC non-Tab race meeting scheduled for Saturday 13 October has been POSTPONED until Sunday 14 October due to weather and state of the track.
However a “phantom” betting meeting will still be conducted on Saturday to cater for the anticipated large crowd, with full facilities available.
25mm of rainfall since yesterday on top of falls earlier in the week has the track unsuitable for racing on Saturday necessitating the postponement to stage the six race program which celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the Gayndah JC.
There is a wet section of the track which has also forced the change of distance of the Benchmark 65 Hcp to 1400m (previously 1900m).
With further rain forecast Friday night/Saturday, a further track inspection will be carried out at 6.30am on Sunday 14/10/18.
New race times have been scheduled for the Sunday race meeting:
Race 1 12.00 noon
Race 2 12.40pm
Race 3 1.20pm
Race 4 2.00pm
Race 5 2.40pm
Race 6 3.20pm
All scratchings lodged for the Saturday meeting will be re-instated with final Sunday scratchings due by 7.45am on Sunday 14/10.
