Racing Queensland was saddened to learn of the passing of Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club stalwart, William ‘Billy’ Harris.
Billy was a proud member of the Capalaba club for upwards of 60 years, served as the club president and spent time as president of the Queensland Greyhound Breeders Owners and Trainers Association.
His last win as a trainer came at Capalaba with Paris France (October 6, 2018), which also happened to be his last runner at Sunday’s Capalaba meeting.
A funeral service will be held at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club, Old Cleveland Rd, Capalaba, on Thursday 6 June at 10am.
