Racing Queensland confirms that the Burdekin RC race meeting (at Home Hill) on Saturday 6 July has been abandoned prior to the commencement of racing.
The decision to abandon the meeting was made by QRIC stewards after determination that the racing surface was unsafe to race on following inclement weather.
Trainers with horses engaged at the meeting will be entitled to compensation under the auspices of the RQ Abandoned Race Meeting Compensation Policy. Riders will also receive compensation under this policy.
