The annual Bell RC non-Tab meeting scheduled for Saturday 4 January 2020 has been ABANDONED due to the state of the track.
QRIC Stewards again inspected the Bell racecourse this morning, and despite the extensive efforts of the race club, ruled the track unsuitable for racing due to the firmness of the track which has occurred due to the effects of the long term drought in the region.
All horses nominated for the Bell race meeting may exercise the option of nominating in any other upcoming races for which acceptances have not closed.
The Bell RC advise that in lieu of the actual race meeting, there will be a phantom “betting” meeting conducted at the course on Saturday with full facilities available.
RQ will be liaising with the Bell RC in regards to options for staging a replacement race meeting in the second half of the 19/20 race season.
