Sunshine Coast Turf Club – Abandoned Race Meeting – Replacement Races Programmed

Racing Queensland confirms that following the abandonment of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club race meeting today, Friday 13 March, the following races have been programmed:

Sunshine Coast TC – Friday 20 March

• QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate, 1000m, Of $21,000 plus applicable QTIS bonuses
• Benchmark 78 Handicap, 1400m, Of $21,000
• Class 1 Handicap, 1200m, Of $21,000

Trainers are reminded that under the auspices of Rule LR.37, horses denied an opportunity to race as a consequence of the Sunshine Coast TC abandonment are able to be nominated for any race for which the acceptance deadline has not passed.

Racing Queensland will also adopt an aggressive approach to the division of races in the next 7-10 days should acceptance numbers deem it appropriate.
