Additional Races Programmed – Sunshine Coast TC – Wednesday 15 April & Friday 17 April

Racing Queensland confirms that as a consequence of the (partial) abandonment of the Sunshine Coast TC race meeting today, Wednesday 8 April, additional races have been programmed at the Sunshine Coast TC race meetings on Wednesday 15 April and Friday 17 April respectively.

They comprise:

Sunshine Coast TC – Wednesday 15 April

• Class 1 Handicap, 1400m, of $21,000

*Important - Nominations for this race will close at 9:00am tomorrow, Thursday 9 April*

Sunshine Coast TC – Friday 17 April

• Class 1 Handicap, 1000m, of $21,000
• Benchmark 68 Handicap, 1200m, of $21,000

The connections of horses which were denied the opportunity to race at Sunshine Coast TC as a consequence of the abandonment will be entitled to compensation under the RQ Race/Race Meeting Abandonment Compensation Policy.

Trainers are also reminded that horses which were denieda start through the abandonment are, under the provisions of Rule LR.37, entitled to nominate those horses for any race meeting for which the acceptance deadline has not passed.
