Form Analysis: Albion Park January 21

RACE 1 

ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (6) is a horse with plenty of ability but is yet to put everything together and still does plenty wrong. He returned last start and did things wrong there before trialling reasonably. 

TRIAGE (7) was able to find the front last start before leading all the way. He is a good stand start horse and could find a position up on the speed. 

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (3) made up some late ground last start and getting back in the run. He is rarely too far away but struggles to win having scored just one win in 36 starts. 

CEEPEEKAY (8) got a long way back last start and struggled to run on. Is capable and with the right run in the race can certainly be in the finish.

SUGGESTED BET: TRIAGE (7) to win. 

RACE 2 

THEBESTBOURBON (5) took a trail last start on Is That A Bid and battled on well for third. She has impressed since joining the stable of Trent Dawson having scored two big wins in her last four starts. She looks the best handicapped horse in this race. 

BENJI HALL (2) was tucked away well back on the pegs last start before hitting the line nicely once into the clear late. Looks well handicapped coming off the front in this race and he tends to begin safely from the stand. 

NORTIE NORTIE (7) has been a model of consistency since returning from a spell having not missed a top four finish in four starts. He had to do the work last start and battled away well for fourth there. 

KIVICI (1) is far from the safest beginner which could be his undoing. If he is able to step cleanly he would be thereabouts off the front mark.

RACE 3

BOOTS ELECTRIC (6) bumped into Leap To Fame last start in what was overall a very strong FFA with plenty of depth. He hasn’t been dominant when racing in veterans grade but this race doesn’t have the depth some of the veterans races he’s contested. 

COMMODORE JUJON (1) returned from a spell last start and had absolutely no luck when knocked over by Franco Macho. He draws gate one and has options in this race. 

SOEXTRA (7) drew favourably last start and was able to score an all the way win over the mile. He has been in good form and despite the wide gate he looks one of the key chances. 

CAPTAIN NEMO (2) has been racing at his absolute best in recent starts and does look to be stepping up somewhat off his last start effort. He does appear likely to secure a soft run and has be included as a knockout hope.

SUGGESTED BET: BOOTS ELECTRIC (6) to win. 

RACE 4 

JUSTROLLINGAROUND (5) is a gate speed horse that may be able to zip across and find the top. Off her last effort if she was able to find the front she would prove extremely hard to beat. 

BLUE BLOODZ (4) battled away for fourth in a similar race last start after obtaining a good run. Could secure a good run again in this race.

TRACER BULLET (3) is a gate speed horse. He was able to zip across last start and take a sit on Test Of Fire. He battled on for third there beaten by Justrollingaround who sat outside him. 

POCKET BOOK (6) has been racing in better company in recent starts. She is likely to find this a lot easier.

SUGGESTED BET: POCKET BOOK (6) each way. 

RACE 5

POWERMOVE (5) went quickly in front last start and just got tired very late. She has the gate speed to dictate to her main rivals early and may be able to find the lead again. 

INDI AIR TONIGHT (6) did the work last start in a race that was quickly run for the grade. Look to have found another suitable race here and looks one of the top chances. 

MUCH BETTOR (7) had no luck last start when getting too far back. He will likely get a long way back again in this race and needs the race run to suit. 

TALKER JAE WALKER (1) has some gate speed and looks likely to dictate early. Battled on well last start after facing the breeze in an easier race. 

SELECTIONS: POWERMOVE (5), INDI AIR TONIGHT (6), MUCH BETTOR (7), TALKER JAE WALKER (1)

SUGGESTED BET: MUCH BETTOR (7) to win. 

RACE 6 

BIRKIRKARA (5) is a gate speed horse and may be able to zip across in the early stages. Trialled up sharply in preparation for this race and should take plenty of beating if able to lead. 

CHARGE AHEAD (4) showed gate speed last start to lead and score a dominant win. He may need to begin even faster this time at the 1660 start point to hold rivals drawn to his outside. 

LUKA DONCIC (1) isn’t a horse blessed with brilliant gate speed which could be his undoing should he be crossed early. If he can do enough to find himself close to the speed he will be thereabouts. 

MONTGOMERY BURNS (8) will likely be relying on luck to land a position close enough to the speed. Has been going well enough.

SUGGESTED BET: BIRKIRKARA (5) to win. 

RACE 7

OUR INDIFFERENCE (5) was making up strong late ground last start in a strong mile rate. He is a horse on the rise and looks to have landed in a winnable race. 

MY ROCKY ROMANCE (6) powered home last start to score from a long way off them in a fast mile rate. He looks suited in this race and can be driven a number of ways. 

GLOVER (1) is a gate speed horse that hold the key to the map in the early stages. He was much better last start hitting the line strongly. 

CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (8) looks to have drawn favourable in this race following a fast beginner. He took on a strong race last start where he was well beaten.

RACE 8

This looks an extremely tricky race with a number of horses seemingly having strong winning claims, MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (5) goes on top marginally. He has been racing well and can be finishing off strong. 

CALL TO ORDER (10) was left without cover in a strong race last start where he battled away well enough. This looks more suitable and he can be running on strongest late off a solid tempo. 

BORSELLINO (3) has been drawing wide gates which has made his life tough. This draw looks much more favourable. 

YANKEE C J (2) draws to advantage in this race on most of his key rivals. Has been rating fast times and may be able to work his way to the front in this race.
