RACE TWO

Dropping back to the triangle where she has a great record, ARK ME (1) has all the options from this gate and looks to have found a winnable race. Releasing after finding the pegs 1^st from gate 3 over the AP 2138m last start, the run was good behind SPEECH IS SILVER. Too far back when restraining from gate 6 the start prior, she looks to get every chance here.

DONNY JONES (3) showed his usual early speed to protect the pegs from gate 1 last start over the 2040m. Keen in front, he faded out to be a long way back in the pack. Only 4m form COOL SCOOTER the start prior when closing nicely, he can look to bounce back and back to the sprint trip is a plus.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6) did some early work last start before fading to a mid-field finish behind DOLLARBILL. Arriving over the 2040m here 3 starts back, he has no favours from this gate, but can be chiming in.

DATITUDE (7) was too strong over the one lap scamper here 2 starts back when continuing to press forward. 10m in arrears from gate 9 last start, he can get a perfect trip and be probing for openings.

RACE THREE

DOLLARBILL (5) started from the 2^nd line over the 2040m here last start when sent forward with a lap to travel. Working hard wide off the track, he put the power on and forged clear to a 4m victory with a further 19m back to 3^rd. Working his way back to form, he can do the work and looks tough to stop again.

GOES BOOM (2) didn’t appreciate having to set the tempo last start and faded under the pressure. Assessed on his previous runs when chasing, he was a nice winner here 4 starts back and followed that with a 2^nd when best of the chasers behind the big winner IFOUNDTHEBEACH. Settling in behind the speed, he will swoop.

VINTAGE DREAM (1) returns from a spell and will come into this without a public trial to prepare. Last seen when 3^rd from this gate when shuffled away back in November, she lands the cosy trip 1^st up to chime in late.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (4) wasn’t suited when forced to race tough in the breeze last start and faded out under the tough run. Only 6m from LIFES BLACK here 2 starts back, he has the early speed to fire the 1^st shot and can feature in this.

RACE FOUR

GODDESS JUJON (5) will be tightened from her latest appearance when returning from a spell and finishing mid-field. That was in a much stronger line-up behind the richly talented SPEECH IS SILVER. At her last run last prep, she wasn’t far away after forced to race tough in the breeze over the AP 2138m. Back to mares only company, this looks well within reach.

PURE CHARISMA (6) started from the 2^nd line when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to grab a narrow victory in a similar race here 4 starts back. A tough 2^nd here 2 starts back over the sprint trip when facing the breeze, the gate hurts but with even luck she can challenge.

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (3) has been in the money at her past 4 in succession, the latest when angled away from the pegs after starting from inside the 2^nd line. Closing well to be 3m in arrears, she will appreciate an improved gate.

SWAFFHAM WATER (8) shoots for a hat-trick after successive wins from 2^nd line gates at both the sprint and 2040m trip. Arriving in the last stride last start, she will swoop late here.

RACE FIVE

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (6) will take good benefit from his 1^st look at the triangle when setting the tempo last start and only fading the closing strides when 3m from the winner MIDNIGHT MAN. Featuring in another stable switch, he lines up here for Brett Cargill and despite the wide gate, looks to have found his easiest challenge since arriving in Aus.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3) will strip fitter following her return to the track to start her 4YO term. Eased back from gate 6, she settled back in the pack when hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to be 5m from the winner. Trialling well for the return, she will appreciate the improved gate.

CANNAN (2) has been consistent with a top-3 in 8 of his past 10 appearances. Settling in the 1x1 trail last start, he was closing out well when 5m from the winner and won’t be far away again.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (1) found the right conditions here 2 starts back and sent forward proved too strong in the breeze to claim a 7m victory. Following that with a handy 3^rd, she has podium claims again.

RACE SIX

Heat 4 of the Trot Rods and this could be the chance for the 1^st mare to claim a victory with GO ANNE GO (1) looking to make the most of her inside advantage. 1^st up in Qld last start from gate 10, she was sent to the pegs and worked home in nice style to be within 4m of the winner. Using her early speed, she can capitalise.

SCHOOBY (2) has good speed out of the Hilux and can certainly fire some early bullets from this gate. His last start effort had merit when striking trouble in the run and followed a down the line effort at Armidale when not seeing any space. Assess his hopes off his all the way win here 3 starts back and can throw down the challenge.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (4) shoots for a hat-trick of wins here on the triangle after wins at both the sprint and 2040m trip. Grinding out the win over the middle-distance last start, he might lack the zip but will stick to his guns in this line-up.

RACE SEVEN

This looks a good contest with a number of chances where pace and position will be all important. Sent to the post as fav last start, JEWEL OF PEAK (8) struck trouble and had her chances expire when put out of business. That followed a strong half-head 2^nd when charging home. With the right slice of luck in transit, she can arrive for the prize.
 
THE WARP REACTOR (2) will take some benefit from his 1^st start in Qld and when 1^st up from a freshen. That outing was over the AP mile when he was hitting the line in the closing stages to be a half-head from the winner. With the good gate he can look to use his early speed and can test them.

FREDDIES CRUISER (1) started fav when making his race debut last start from this gate over this trip. Settling in the pocket trail he couldn’t go on with it. Added experience and the good alley again will help.

A RAINBOW DIAMOND (7) resumes from a break after a lone start to kick-off her 3YO season. That returned an all the way win from gate 3 over this trip when only sprinting the last 200m. She will be probing.

RACE EIGHT

JINGLES BROMAC (6) looked to have found his race last time out and well-supported in the market from gate 5 made a mess of the start and looked to have lost all chance. Re-setting, he chased gamely and it was a top run under the circumstances. Given time to balance-up, he can bounce back here.

PEGGY STARDUST (2) has been runner-up in 3 of her past 4 starts, run down in the closing stages on each occasion. Last start she led them up over this trip, but couldn’t withstand the challenge from BEEF CITY STARZZZ. With early speed, she will be in front deep into the stretch and gripping on.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (1) didn’t have the factors in her favour last start and was forced to work home wide off the track when down the line. Grabbed late the start prior, she can get a good trip in this.

WHATA STRIDE (4) went to the pegs last start from the 2^nd line and was closing out strongly to get within 2m of the winner. Not put over this trip on many occasions, she has podium claims.
