RACE TWO

LIVING FREE (2) will strip fitter after returning from a spell over the Redcliffe sprint trip last time out. From gate 5 he was sent forward and in a handy steer was able to find the leaders back. With his condition fading in the closing stages. Back to the Burg from the good gate, he can fire out and look to fight them off.

TOTAL DELIRIUM (1) speared out from the inside gate looking to take them all the way in a Trot Rods heat last start, grabbed in the closing stages. Leading them up over the 1780m 2 starts back, he was collared late when 4m in arrears. With a cosy trip looking available, he can feature.

WHATA STRIDE (7) backs up from a tougher race on Friday at AP. Prior to that she hadn’t been too far away, including only 4m from the winner 3 starts back over the Redcliffe sprint trip. With even luck in transit she can look to break her Marburg maiden.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (6) broke through to claim a maiden breaking win over the 2040m at Redcliffe 2 starts back. Not far off them last time in a stronger outing last start at the Triangle on Thursday, he will be probing for gaps in this.

SELECTIONS: LIVING FREE (2), TOTAL DELIRIUM (1), WHATA STRIDE (7), MELTON MAX GENTLE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

JEWEL OF PEAK (1)
is in great touch and lands another ace gate after backing up from the ace on Thursday at Redcliffe when a strong winner. A winner here 4 starts back when taking them all the way over this trip and cruising home to a 6m margin, she was runner-up at her next 2 prior to winning again Thurs. They look set to chase her home.

MISTER DECORUM (8) hasn’t missed a cheque in 6 visits to the track, his latest appearance here when pressing on to take up the lamp lighting duties and then nabbed on the line by the in-form IDEAL TIGER. That was 4 starts back and despite the 2nd line gate, this doesn’t look out of his reach.

FRANCO NEVAEH (9) is 1 from 1 at the track, that win also being the 7YO lone race success. An enigma that has caused plenty of training headaches, he returns from a spell and can place 1st up.

CHUMP CHOP (5) has been burnt by the wide gate here, yet he is racing well enough that he can look to overcome the impediment. Backing up from Thursday when successful, he can mix it with them in this.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (1), MISTER DECORUM (8), FRANCO NEVAEH (9), CHUMP CHOP (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL OF PEAK (1) to win

RACE FOUR

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (9) can’t snag a gate and will have to overcome outside the 2nd line here. Taken back from gate 6 last time at Redcliffe the run had merit when closing in the latter stages. In for the fight when a 2m 2nd here 3 starts back behind SIR BULSKI, he just needs some luck.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8) found his race at Redcliffe 3 starts back when working home over the top to claim an easy win as the fav. His run there on Thurs was sound and he can feature at his 1st look at the track.

DUKE (4) started a red figure fav at his 1st Aus start from gate 2 over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Forced to do it the tough way he faded late. Showing some improvement on Thurs despite striking some trouble in the run, he is in the mix.

IMA REGAL JET (5) has been in the money at 4 of his past 5 starts, the latest when chasing home behind TOANUI SPIRIT after angling to the pegs for a cheap ride. The gate hurts, but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (9), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8), DUKE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (4) faces a sticky gate at his 1st outing on this track, however he has returned from a spell in good touch. From the 2nd line he found the line in good style when resuming and only 6m from CUT FROM ROCK. Closing strongly last start behind BETTERTHANDIAMONDS, with a rub of the green, he can take this.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1) was given a task from gate 7 last start when sent to sit outside the leader over the AP mile and under the workload, faded in the latter stages. Mid-field the start prior behind FOND MEMORIES after setting the tempo, he will give them something to catch here.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (2) sat in the pocket trail last start and was best of the chasing pack behind the in-form TOANUI SPIRIT over the 2040m at Redcliffe. Settling hand, he can chime into the money.

ELIZABETHAN ERA (5) speared out to find the front last time out over the sprint trip on the triangle and was in for the fight when falling 2m short of the prize. Despite the wide gate, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR RIDGY DIDGE (4), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (2), ELIZABETHAN ERA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

CANNAN (1) started from gate 5 over the Redcliffe 2040m last time out when eased early before making a mid-race attack for the lead. With the challenge repelled, he was forced to grind it out and kept digging in to get within a half-head of the win. Chasing the arms as they fold, he looks set to get his chance in dictating.

SCHEU CREEK (6) made the most of gate 2 in taking them all the way here 2 starts back over this trip, increasing his Marburg figures to stand at 2 wins and 2 2nds in 5 outings. Following that win with a close neck margin to FLO RYDA at AP, he will be coiled and waiting for some open space to present.

TULHURST KATE (7) eased into the running lane from gate 3 last time out when making a closing play and only falling a head short of victory. With a top-2 in 6 of her past 8, she will be in the mix.

SIR BULSKI (2) started from the 2nd line here 2 starts back when finishing best to claim a 2m victory. Backing up from AP on Friday, he can feature from this gate.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (1), SCHEU CREEK (6), TULHURST KATE (7), SIR BULSKI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CANNAN (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

DARBY BRIGHTS (1) is getting closer to breaking a long winless streak following another narrow miss on Wed night. Runner-up at her past 3 in succession, the latest when nabbed up the passing lane, it had followed a late charging 1m margin in a mares race. With the speed to dictate, she can raise the bat for 100 race starts in fine style.

CORINDHAP CREEK (6) is yet to miss the board in 6 starts for the season with 3 wins and 3 minors in the bag. Eased back from gate 6 at Redcliffe over the 2040m last start, he was closing strongly to grab the bronze behind the in-form SUKI DAYO. If he can see space with track to work with, he will be charging.

GHOST GUM (7) claimed the big Goldstrike Final here 4 starts back and since that win has added another pair of minor placings. Hitting the line nicely last start, he can be working home hard.

SWAFFHAM WATER (2) used the passing lane over the Redcliffe sprint trip 2 starts back when holding on for the silver behind NEWMERELLA LADYKAY

SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (1), CORINDHAP CREEK (6), GHOST GUM (7), SWAFFHAM WATER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DARBY BRIGHTS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SWORD AND SHIELD (1) heads to Marburg for the 1st time and while he will need to hustle to protect the pegs, this looks ideal. Not too far away last start after settling back in the pack with the leaders running home a nice closing half, he can look to take control and then fight them off here.

IDEAL TIGER (6) has found some form with 2 wins and a minor at his past 3 starts. A winner here 3 starts back when swooping over the top to take the prize, he was within 2m of the winner. Arriving form off the speed to score over the AP 2138m last start, he just needs some space to challenge.

PITTSWORTH MAN (2) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 1st up for the new stable and 2nd up since resuming from a break. Striking trouble in transit last start, he can be sharper here.

EYE SEE DOUBLE (7) circled them early over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start to do it the hard way and with the power on throughout in a slick speed, he faded under the workload. With an easier trip he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SWORD AND SHIELD (1), IDEAL TIGER (6), PITTSWORTH MAN (2), EYE SEE DOUBLE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-7
