MEGA STAR (2) is in the zone, completing a threepeat last start in fine style. Easing forward from gate 3 to cut the breeze, he never looked in danger when claiming a 5m victory. That followed a 19m demolition in putting them away when doing it the tough way. This is a little tougher, but he can make the rise. BILLBOARD BONNIE (8) struck trouble in the run here 2 starts back and was forced to chase hard and was game in a mid-field finish. Taken back from gate 4 last start, she was wide off the track in sweeping around them to claim the prize. Settling handy she can look to throw it down again. ONE OFF (3) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 5 outings, the latest when making a closing surge to be within a half-head of the winner. From the gate he can look to fire the 1st shot. MAYWYN NO REGRETS (1) should appreciate the return to the triangle after fading when the power went on late over the 2138m of the 4YO Mares Triad. RACE THREE JUST JOSHIN (1) was wide off the track last start when trying to make in impression from back in the field after retreating from gate 6 and finishing 7m from the winner. Closing strongly the start prior when 4m away from the subsequent winner SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE, he can look to capitalise on his best gate for some time. ARBIT MAJOR (3) has missed a top-3 twice in his 11 outings since joining the Donny Smith yard. RACE FOUR SIGNORINA JUJON (6) comes up with the wide gate at her 2nd run back from a break. Returning with a fast-finishing 2nd when only a head in arrears of victory, her last start of the previous campaign saw her mid-field behind the start filly PELOSI. With a smart record on the triangle, she can overcome the gate. TRACES OF TARA (1) found the front over the sprint trip last start and was able to control the tempo, running even splits in front to hold on for a half-head victory to make it wins at 2 of her past 4 starts. The big query is her record at the middle-distance, but with the options, she can be in the fight. GUY LOOKS GOOD (3) was chiming into the action nicely last start when finishing 3m from the passing lane winner LANCELOT BROMAC in holding 3rd. A tough winner here 3 starts back, he can feature again. MUCHO GUAPA (2) was a winner when leading all the way over this trip 2 starts back when 2nd up from a break. 2m in arrears of the winner CHROMOZONE last start, she won’t be too far away.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (1) took on the lamp lighting duties from this gate last start. After setting a steady opening half, he tried to dial it up, but was nabbed in the stretch when 5m in arrears of victory. Fitter following 3 runs back from a break, he will give them something to chase. GO ANNE GO (2) struck trouble in transit last start from gate 6 that ended her chances. Officially last the start prior, she was only 8m from the winner when searching for space and she is in the mix MISTER FAHRENHEIT (4) found the front here last start over the sprint trip but was unable to see it out when nabbed near the wire. He can have an early look, but might be obliged to work hard.

RACE SIX JEWELS AFFAIR (1) has been a 3-time bridesmaid in her 3 race outings, the latest when taken back from a wide gate prior to finding the line strongly to get within a head of the winner. After making a mess of the starts on debut form the 2nd line, she has been ODM the past 2 and with the benefit of the early options, looks to get her moment to shine. GRETELS GIRL (2) pounced on the pegs from gate 3 here 2 starts back over the 2040m trip and once in control, fought them off to score a comfortable 10m victory to open her account. The return to this grade will suit after taking on the Triad Consolation last start and she will be right in the fight. SIR JUJON (7) started from inside the 2nd line last start in the boys Triad Consolation when soon buried in the run and chasing in vain. With a cosy trip on offer here, he will be probing for space. FOUR FOR FOUR (8) was shooting for a hat-trick last start in the girl Triad Final and from inside the 2nd line was back in the pack and far from disgraced when mid-field to FOND MEMORIES. She is in the mix.

RACE EIGHT AWHOLELOTOFPRETTY (2) was 1st up in Qld when taking on the Fillies Breeders Final last start. Starting form gate 10, she then didn’t have the smoothest run in transit when finishing at the rear of the pack. Having trialled nicely in preparation, she has the improved gate and this looks a winnable contest for her to breakthrough. AURORA ROSE (4) settled back in the field on debut when looking to makes some closing ground wide off the track. On a 4-day back-up into the Breeders Consolation, she then wasn’t suited after striking some trouble and finishing back in the field. The triangle should suit and the little black filly can challenge. AMANDER (6) has been kept fresh since her last start when 2nd up in her career. A tidy 2nd on debut when 9m from the winner FRONTLINER, it didn’t go to plan 2nd up. Look for a sharper effort here. HEARTBREAK (5) settled in the 1x1 trail here last start and chased home nicely to grab the silver behind BIG GEM MONTANA. Well-beaten on debut, if she can add further improvement from the latest outing, she has place claims.

RACE NINE A tough maiden to close the night where the combined stats of the field show 18 placings in 126 outings.
