Racing Queensland confirms that the Kilcoy RC race meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Friday October 30, has been postponed and rescheduled to Wednesday November 4.
The decision to postpone the meeting was made following an inspection of the racing surface by QRIC and RQ officials this morning, the outcome of which was that it is not currently considered suitable for racing on, nor will it be within the next 24-48 hours.
Said inspection confirmed that the track currently contains a number of areas of surface water, developed as a consequence of the storms in the region over the past two days.
The rescheduling of the race meeting will result in the same fields being retained, with any scratchings made thus far reinstated.
Sky Racing has confirmed that it will be in a position to provide coverage of the meeting on its Sky 1 platform and that the race times for the meeting will be collated today.
