RACE TWO
TYPHOON TORQUE (7) will need a few factors in her favour here, the main one of those relying on the 1 getting her to space if opting to stay in the pocket trail. Stripping fitter following her 1st up run here last time out when holding on for the bronze behind AMANDER, she can look to arrive. FAST EDDY (5) should appreciate this class of contest after meeting some more experienced rivals in recent starts. Making an error early before resetting to fight on to claim the 3rd last start behind APACHE WHITESOX, he found them too sharp the start prior behind PACIFIC COIN. He can throw it down. QUALITY TIME (1) has the lone win to his name with that coming when starting from this gate over this trip back in April and leading throughout. Chasing for 3rd after retreating early from gate 7 last start, he will be gripping on. JAMES THE JET (9) opened his account here last week when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line and prevailing despite the tough run. Rewarded with the win after successive placings, he can chime in again. SELECTIONS: TYPHOON TORQUE (7), FAST EDDY (5), QUALITY TIME (1), JAMES THE JET (9) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE TICK OF THE CLOCK (4) has faced a 2nd line gate at his past 2 starts, the latest from inside when forced to settle in a rearward position. Trying to launch a raid in the latter stages, he had to settle for a midfield result. Only 3m away the start prior over the AP mile, the front line is a plus against these. JINGLES BROMAC (6) was wide off the track from this gate last start when setting out to make chase over the 2040m trip. Finishing mid-field, it had followed successive placed runs, but he was also able to get around cleanly which is the key to his chances. Back to 1780m suits and he can challenge. SHEZ GOT BLING (7) can be a little hit and miss but with a cosy trip can be looking to make a closing play. Chiming in for the silver last start, she closed strongly after retreating from gate 5. If the gaps arrive, she can feature. RAYONG PRINCESS (5) is in nice touch in this grade and despite the sticky gate can be thereabouts once again. Starting fav from gate 6 last start, she chased gamely wide out for 3rd and can repeat.
SELECTIONS: TICK OF THE CLOCK (4), JINGLES BROMAC (6), SHEZ GOT BLING (7), RAYONG PRINCESS (5) SUGGESTED BET: TICK OF THE CLOCK (4) to win
RACE FOUR CEEYEAYE (3) makes his 1st appearance at The Triangle and arrives after tackling some stronger opponents than he meets for this assignment. Eased to the pegs from gate 4 last start, he was not that far from the progressive DANCINTOTHEBEAT. From this gate he gets his chance to score. DOCTA FEELGOOD (5) had 3 starts last term when prepared by Darren Weeks with 2 of those coming from 2nd line barriers. Runner-up to MANILA PLAYBOY on debut, he has opened the pipes in good fashion in readiness for his return and with even luck from the tough gate can challenge 1st up. FIRE EYES (9) has placed at his past 3 in succession, the latest when starting in red figures in managing a 3rd behind the swooping LAKER. Bad gates have not helped his cause, but he can chime in here. TORQUE IN CONTROL (7) returns for her 3YO campaign after she could not quite crack a win at her 1st term of racing. Placed on 8 occasions, she will need a slice of luck from this alley to chime in. SELECTIONS: CEEYEAYE (3), DOCTA FEELGOOD (5), FIRE EYES (9), TORQUE IN CONTROL (7) SUGGESTED BET: CEEYEAYE (3) to win
RACE FIVE WILD ABOUT TOWN (2) made the most of conditions to find the front here 3 starts back and once in control was able to take them all the way in scoring a 6m victory. Buried in the run in a stronger contest at his next start, he was not suited when working last start. Limiting the early burn will aid his chances. MISS CATALINA (1) is on the quick turnaround after racing here on Wednesday night. Runner-up here 3 starts back when buried in the run before charging late to be within a half-neck, provided she takes no ill-effects from Wednesday, she has come up with the perfect gate to make a challenge. TURN TURN FLYER (7) settled in the running line from gate 3 last start and had the right trip to make the closing shot a winning one. Gunned down in front the start prior, he will be probing for openings. FEEL THE THUNDER (9) eased from a wide gate last start and was making some nice ground in the closing stages over the AP mile. Runner-up the start prior after rolling forward, he has claims here.
SELECTIONS: WILD ABOUT TOWN (2), MISS CATALINA (1), TURN TURN FLYER (7), FEEL THE THUNDER (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-9
RACE SIX COUNTRY RUN (7) was able to overcome gate 6 last start when making a closing challenge down the centre of the track to take the prize. Warming up to that win with successive place runs including a half-neck 2nd, he will be searching for a way clear of the inside and with even luck can take an open race. REGALIA (3) was a winner here 3 starts back when making a swooping challenge to arrive after retreating in the early stages from gate 5. Placed in both outings since that victory, the latest was a tough effort when obliged to face the breeze and only finishing 3m in arrears. He can challenge again. GHOST GUM (2) angled to the pegs from the 2nd line last start and was within 5m of the winner after running up behind them. Using the passing lane the start prior when beaten a half-neck, he looms strongly against this grade. ONYAJANS (9) has been runner-up in 2 of her past 5 starts, the latest when closing out in nice order behind GOALKICKER. With the right cart into the contest, she can be finishing late to feature. SELECTIONS: COUNTRY RUN (7), REGALIA (3), GHOST GUM (2), ONYAJANS (9) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN
GUY LOOKS GOOD (8) started from the 2nd line over the AP mile 2 starts back and was in the mix when 5m in arrears of the winner after settling in the running line. Sent around them in the early stages from gate 9 here last start, he was game in defeat when only beaten a head. Despite the gate he can go one better. LIFEINHEAVEN (6) has no favours from the wide gate here but is knocking on the door of a victory in this grade. Working home wide off the track last start from gate 5 behind MONTANA FLASH, she attacked the line strongly here 3 starts back behind GOALKICKER. With even luck she can make a play. ROBINMEGOOD (3) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and was probing for a way clear when 8m in arrears of the winner DARBY BRIGHTS. If able to pace cleaner in the early stages than his recent starts, he can feature here. MELTON XMAS GIRL (1) eased from gate 4 to find position last start and was looking for the short-cuts along the inside. Tackling stronger opposition in recent outings, the gate is a big plus to her chances.
SELECTIONS: GUY LOOKS GOOD (8), LIFEINHEAVEN (6), ROBINMEGOOD (3), MELTON XMAS GIRL (1) SUGGESTED BET: GUY LOOKS GOOD (8) to win
RACE EIGHT DEVOUGED (9) struggles to land an alley and comes up with another tough gate here, but he should appreciate a strong tempo that looks to unveil in this. Working home soundly to grab the bronze last start behind LONESTAR LAD, he arrived over the top of them here 4 starts back and can repeat that in this. ROUSEY (5) was back in winning form last start when taking control in the early stages from gate 2 and cruising home to an easy 9m victory. The wide gate is a concern with her best work down when up near the pointy end, yet if she can get forward without overcooking it early, she can throw down the challenge. TIMENPATIENCE (4) did not have the smoothest passage from the 2nd line when not that far from the winner KOTARE ELITE 2 runs back. Finding the tempo too slippery last start, back to this line-up should suit. ABERCROMBIE TAB (7) is never far from the action and after a win here 5 runs back when doing it the tough way from gate 5, he has placed at his past 3 in succession. He will be searching for a way clear.
SELECTIONS: DEVOUGED (9), ROUSEY (5), TIMENPATIENCE (4), ABERCROMBIE TAB (7) SUGGESTED BET: DEVOUGED (9) to win
RACE NINE HUNTAWAY (7) made the most of a perfect trip here last start when making the closing shot via the passing lane a winning one. Game in defeat the start prior when doing it the tough way outside the leader and only 3m in arrears of the winner, he looks set for the ideal trip to rinse and repeat. LETS GO BETTER (1) is still searching for his 1st victory in Qld and a drought breaking win to end a near two-year winless streak. Luckless here last start, he was searching for a way clear when 6m in arrears of the winner. With his best gate for some time, this looks his best chance to capitalise. GETALOADATHISGIRL (9) was a winner here 3 runs back to make it successive wins at the 1780m trip. Luckless at her next appearance, she chimed in for the bronze last start and can feature again. MACHIN OUT (6) is racing in nice touch of late with a win here 3 starts back when pressing forward from gate 5 to get into the contest in the early stages. Runner-up at his next outing, he can chime in here.
SELECTIONS: HUNTAWAY (7), LETS GO BETTER (1), GETALOADATHISGIRL (9), MACHIN OUT (6) SUGGESTED BET: HUNTAWAY (7) to win
RACE TEN LUCKY UNLUCKY (9) makes just his 2nd appearance at The Triangle and will be tightened from his latest outing when returning from a freshen. Locked away against the poles from inside the 2nd line, he had nowhere to go when searching for openings. With form in stronger company than he squares off against here, he can bounce back to winning form. ELMS CREEK (5) is on the short back-up from Tuesday when his run was full of merit. Easing from gate 5 to find position, he was buried against the poles before attacking the line in smart order to be 6m from the winner INTRANSIT. Not far from subsequent winner ROCKNROLL ICON 3 runs back, he can throw it down in this. TACT BESS (8) will take good benefit from her latest outing when landing gate 6. Easing to find position, she was strong in the latter stages to be within 4m of the winner. Look for her taking a closing shot. ARTFUL MAID (3) has a handy record here at Redcliffe with a top-three in 11 of her 17 outings. Tackling a much stronger band graded event here last time run in slick time, this looks more suitable.
SELECTIONS: LUCKY UNLUCKY (9), ELMS CREEK (5), TACT BESS (8), ARTFUL MAID (3) SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY UNLUCKY (9) to win
