SEQ Race Meeting Changes – Beaudesert RC, Ipswich TC and Warwick TC

Racing Queensland confirms that following the abandonment of the Beaudesert RC race meeting today, Tuesday March 23, and as a consequence of the continuing inclement weather, there has been further changes made to the SEQ racing program.

In summary form, they comprise:

• Beaudesert RC – was Tuesday March 23, abandoned, and a replacement meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, April 1. As the meeting was officially abandoned and the replacement meeting is a new one, fresh nominations will be called for – said nominations will close 11:00am, Friday March 26.  Importantly also, trainers should note that the revised meeting date has resulted in it being necessary to make changes to some of the races on the program;
• Ipswich TC – was Wednesday March 24, postponed, and is now Friday March 26.  The same race fields will be retained with any scratchings transacted thus far reinstated; and
• Warwick TC – Was Friday March 26, postponed, and is now Tuesday March 30.  The existing nominations for this race meeting will be retained with weights being declared today, however the acceptance deadline will now be 9:30am, Friday March 26.

Trainers are also reminded that as a consequence of the changes to the scheduling of these race meetings the auspices of Rule LR.37. may be applicable and accordingly, horses denied the opportunity to race are able to be nominated for any race for which the acceptance deadline has yet to be reached.
