RACE TWO
TUAKANA (3) arrives to join the Narissa McMullen stable after campaigning in Victoria for Shane Sanderson. Midfield last start at Mildura, he was a winner at that track when finding the front from gate 2 and taking them all the way. Tough in the breeze 4 runs back, he might need to roll the sleeves here to land the prize. CLARES FOOL (1) was asked to do it the tough way last start but could not cope and faded over the latter stages. Runner-up here 2 starts back when setting the tempo in front, he was clinging on but in the last strides was grabbed by AURORA ROSE. He will be gripping on again here. MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (8) has 2 wins in his past 4 starts, the latest when finishing best from back in the pack to claim a tidy win over the Redcliffe 1780m. Backing up from the Gympie Show on Friday, he can chime in. AURORA ROSE (6) took the trail from gate 1 here 2 starts back and with the cosy run in behind the speed, found the space to charge over the top for the prize. She will be probing again here. SELECTIONS: TUAKANA (3), CLARES FOOL (1), MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (8), AURORA ROSE (6) SUGGESTED BET: TUAKANA (3) to win
RACE THREE TEACHERS PET (1) will strip fitter from her latest assignment when 2nd up from a spell. Returning from gate 5 here 2 runs back, she was always facing a task from the tough alley. Finding the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe when runner-up and beaten a neck, the gate is a huge plus here. BUTCHERFEELGOOD (8) has returned from a spell in nice order and lines up here after placings at her past 2 starts. Charging home last time out, she was only a neck away from the winner which followed a bronze over the Redcliffe 2040m when making up good late ground. With a 2 from 4 record here, she can make a closing challenge. BEEF CITY STARZZZ (5) will take some benefit from his last start where he was returning from a spell. Starting off the 2nd line, he did not really get int to the fight and despite a tough gate, he has place claims here. TURN TURN FLYER (3) steps out here at Marburg for the 1st time and has been kept fresh since his last appearance when midfield over the AP mile. Placed his previous 3 in succession, he is in the mix. SELECTIONS: TEACHERS PET (1), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (8), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (5), TURN TURN FLYER (3) SUGGESTED BET: TEACHERS PET (1) to win
RACE FOUR PEGGY STARDUST (2) was 1st up from a spell into a Trot Rods heat when sent out as the fav. Forced to do it the tough way in the breeze, she then made an error on the home bend to end her chances. Grabbed late over the AP mile 3 starts back when 3rd, she can fire off the gate and look to dictate. SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (1) has been around this track on 8 occasions with 4 placings to her name. With an easy trip in behind the speed last start, she was left flat footed, and the start prior was just too far back. With early speed, they have some options to call on to give her a challenging hope. BONNIES CAM (6) has been kept fresh since he last started and has had a spaced 3 start campaign since resuming from a spell. A beaten fav last time out, he will be probing for openings here. JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (4) was 1st up from a break over the AP mile last time out when fired off the arm from gate 6 to take control. After walking the 2nd quarter, he could not fight them off in finishing midfield. He can feature here. SELECTIONS: PEGGY STARDUST (2), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (1), BONNIES CAM (6), JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (4) SUGGESTED BET: PEGGY STARDUST (2) to win
RACE FIVE SIR BULSKI (1) has hit the board in all 3 starts here at Marburg including a win and fares well landing the good gate for this. Spearing out from gate 5 to cross the field and lead them in a 947m Trot Rods scamper last start, he kept them chasing to land the prize. From the gate he can double the distance for the same result. DOLLARBILL (7) was asked to work hard last start at headquarters over the 2138m but continued to give all the way to the wire. Runner-up over the mile the start prior after being buried in the run, it followed a slick win here when temporarily holding the track record after a power running effort. He is in the fight despite the gate. IFYOUBELIEVE (2) returns from a spell and has had a pair of trials in readiness for the return. His form just started to taper before the break and with the good alley here 1st up can be thereabouts. MY ULTIMATE HELL (6) was beaten by a wide gate here last start when retreating from the five-hole to dive through along the pegs in hoping for some luck. With the easy trip he will be probing here. SELECTIONS: SIR BULSKI (1), DOLLARBILL (7), IFYOUBELIEVE (2), MY ULTIMATE HELL (6) SUGGESTED BET: SIR BULSKI (1) to win
RACE SIX GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7) had no luck at all 3 runs back when shooting for a hat-trick and was buried away and then did not see the space needed to make a play. Making a mess of the stand start at his next appearance he then made errors in the run last start. Freshened, he can follow through and with a strong tempo can look to make a closing play. KETTERING GIRL (2) should appreciate this level of contest after trailing the field in at her past 2 outings. Fading last start as ITS MR CLOONEY powered home to score, she found CHAMONIX too slick the start prior. A winner over the AP mile when leading 3 runs back, she can challenge here. DONNY JONES (4) had a 2nd line gate to contend with last start and could not warm up in the closing stages as CHAMONIX took the prize. With early speed he can look to put the heat into this battle. GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (6) will be requiring a fair slice of luck from this alley as he makes his 2nd appearance in Qld. Game in chasing wide off the track last start, he will be searching for a way clear. SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7), KETTERING GIRL (2), DONNY JONES (4), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (6) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN MONTEREY JACK (8) eased from gate 3 last start to secure position and was soon near the rear of the pack. With 3 identical 28.5 closing splits over the last 1200m, he could not go with them. Placed his previous 2 including a 4m 3rd to subsequent winner VIENNA BOY, he might just sneak home here. NESTERS HILL (2) returns from a break at the official races but warmed up for this with an outing at the Marburg Show last week. Sent out as the fav last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he was gunned down late after setting the speed to be 3m in arrears. Only a half-neck away the start prior, he can throw it down here. HEADWIN (5) is not given any favours from the wide gate here but is a podium chance on his best. Runner-up last start from the pocket trail over the AP mile, he will not be too far away here. VIEWBYTHEROCK (3) returns from a spell here without a public trial in readiness. Beaten by a wide gate last start, he is a two-time winner from 3 attempts at this track and can feature fresh. SELECTIONS: MONTEREY JACK (8), NESTERS HILL (2), HEADWIN (5), VIEWBYTHEROCK (3) SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREY JACK (8) to win
RACE EIGHT MISTER HART (8) started from gate 8 here 2 runs back and making a wide and searching run was game to the wire over the 1850m as ISLAS JOY obliterated the track record. That run was full of merit to be just 7m away as the runner-up. It did not go to plan last start in a qualifier, but with the early follow through here, he can arrive. KAY NORA SHANNON (1) started from the 2nd line last time out in a Marburg to Albion Final at headquarters and with the good trip in the 1x1 trail was able to arrive for the prize. Only sneaking into that final with a down the line 4th, she can get the easy run here and if the gaps open will be ready to make a challenge. JEWEL OF PEAK (2) fired off the arm from gate 1 here 2 starts back and once in control kept them chasing to claim a smart 4m victory. Grabbing the bronze last start, the 2200m poses a few questions here but she can be looking to grip on. IDEAL TIGER (3) has developed a handy record at this track, hitting the board in 6 of his 7 appearances, 3 of those being victories. Buried away last start as KING TRITON scored over the AP 2138m, he might need to roll the sleeves here. SELECTIONS: MISTER HART (8), KAY NORA SHANNON (1), JEWEL OF PEAK (2), IDEAL TIGER (3) SUGGESTED BET: MISTER HART (8) to win
