Greyhound Clubs Australia (GCA) has today announced the cancellation of the Grand Finals of the 2021 National Sprint and National Distance Championships which were to be held at The Meadows on Saturday 28 August 2021. The GCA media release can be read here.
Racing Queensland will proceed with conducting the Queensland Sprint and Distance Championships at Albion Park with eligibility conditions to remain as originally advertised. Greyhounds will be eligible to compete in these events if they have been domiciled in Queensland for at least 76 out of the 150 days immediately preceding the nomination closing date. Full eligibility criteria can be read here. Trainers should contact Racing Queensland prior to the nomination closing date if they are unsure of a greyhounds’ eligibility to enter.
