RQ confirms that following a track inspection the (rescheduled) Warwick Turf Club race meeting on Wednesday July 7 has been abandoned.
The abandonment decision was made following the determination that there is no likelihood that the racing surface will recover sufficiently in time for Wednesday’s meeting to take place.
Trainers and riders with commitments at the race meeting will be advised accordingly via SMS.
As a consequence of the abandonment, the Toowoomba Turf Club trials which were programmed for tomorrow, Tuesday July 6, have been rescheduled to Wednesday July 7.
Nominations for these trials have been extended until 12 noon, Tuesday July 6.
Class 2 925m and 3YO 925m heats have also been added to this program.
Those trainers who previously nominated horses but now wish to enter the new heats should advise Racing Australia accordingly.
