Hoysted said the Queensland Jewel over 1200 metres at the Gold Coast on March 19 was her immediate goal.
“We’ll keep an eye on her for the next week and there’s a race in about three weeks for her before the Jewel or she could go straight into the Jewel and possibly just have a trial,” he said.
“It’s an awkward time for her as she hopefully can play a part in the winter carnival.
“But The Jewel is worth good money so she can go there and hopefully have a little break before the winter.”
Meanwhile Tony Gollan's promising galloper Knight Mariner produced an eye-catching run in his comeback from serious injury in the No Metropolitan Win Handicap over 1350 metres.
Knight Mariner was having his first start in 20 months and ran home strongly to finish fourth to the Michael Costa-trained Cracker Essgee.
The five-year-old was having his first start since fracturing his pelvis in the Group 3 Winx Guineas at the Sunshine Coast in July, 2020.
Knight Mariner, who was once touted as a Queensland Derby hope, looked the winner of the Winx Stakes before suffering the injury about 150 metres out.
During his recuperation he also suffered a hind leg injury which further delayed his comeback.
