The impact of the South East Queensland floods at Albion Park continues to be felt with rectification ongoing.
In conjunction with the Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club and the Albion Park Harness Racing Club, the clean-up of the facility continued this week, with significant progress being made.
Works on the harness racing track have now been completed, with horses to return to the surface on Wednesday, March 23 as part of a workout session being held by the club.
Rectification works to the greyhound surface and racing infrastructure continue, with the track surface to be completely replaced.
Sand laying is expected to commence in the week beginning March 28.
The electrical infrastructure is on track to be repaired – and replaced in some instances – with an aim to come on-line in the coming weeks.
Finally, a building assessment conducted by local contractors has taken place and will look to proceed with remediation works once a contractor has been appointed.
Further updates, including rescheduled meetings for both codes, will be posted on the RQ website and through industry channels.
