The Innisfail Turf Club TAB meeting on Saturday, March 19 has been abandoned due to weather and state of the track.
Innisfail’s Pease Park racecourse has recorded approximately 480mm rainfall since last Sunday, including 150mm overnight, making the track unsuitable to race.
Consideration was given to postponing the race meeting to Sunday at either Innisfail or Cannon Park racecourse in Cairns, however both tracks were deemed unsuitable to race on following the excessive rainfall received at both tracks.
Due to the abandonment, and given that there is no possibility that the meeting can be rescheduled in its entirety, RQ had added a further two races to the Cairns Jockey Club meeting on Saturday, March 26. The additional races are:
