Gold Coast changes to race distances

Racing Queensland confirms that following a track inspection the distance to race 4 at the Gold Coast Turf Club today has been amended.

The change has been made following the determination that the 1800 metre chute is not suitable for starting races from.

The two changes to today’s race card are:

• Race 3 – remains unaltered at 1200 metres, however it will now be started on the course proper; and
• Race 4 – was 1800 metres and is now 1750 metres. 

The track is officially rated as a Heavy 10.
