Racing Queensland confirms that the Rockhampton Jockey Club race meeting scheduled for this Saturday, May 14, has been abandoned.
The decision was made this morning by QRIC Stewards and club officials following an inspection of the racing surface following a large volume of rain.
It is the officials’ view that irrespective of the weather, there is no likelihood that the track will recover in time for the race meeting to proceed.
As a result, three new races have been added to the program for the club’s race meeting on Thursday, May 19. They are:
