Racing Queensland advises that following a track inspection this morning, which included horses being galloped over the racing surface, today's Aquis Park Gold Coast Turf Club race meeting has been postponed.
There is a possibility of the race meeting being transferred to the Polytrack at Sunshine Coast Turf Club on Monday, July 25.
The postponement decision was made after heavy rain over the past 24 hours which resulted in the pooling of surface water on large sections of the track.
RQ is endeavouring to facilitate the movement of the meeting to the SCTC Polytrack on Monday, however, the likelihood of that is dependent on a number of logistical factors.
Stakeholders will be advised if that outcome is achievable.
If the reschedule is not possible then RQ will consider the potential programming of alternative racing opportunities within SEQ over the next week.
