Racing Queensland can confirm the Aquis Park Gold Coast Turf Club meeting today, Saturday, July 2, has been abandoned due to track conditions.
The abandonment decision has been made by officials following a track inspection and the determination that the racing surface which contains large areas of surface water will not, irrespective of prevailing weather conditions, recover sufficiently in time for the race meeting to proceed.
Racing Queensland will, as a consequence of the abandonment, give consideration to potential alternative programming opportunities for participants within the next 7-10 days.
