The annual non-TAB meeting at Aramac Racing Club on Saturday, August 20 has been postponed to be conducted by the Longreach Jockey Club on Sunday, August 21.
A QRIC Stewards race morning inspection of the Aramac racetrack found a number of cracks in the racing surface. Extensive remedial works were undertaken by the Club, but could not get the surface to an acceptable standard to race on.
There are no changes to the race program for the postponed meeting at Longreach.
All scratchings from the Aramac race meeting have been reinstated, with trainers to lodge scratchings for the Longreach meeting with Racing Australia prior to 7.45am Sunday, August 21.
Due to the postponement, there will be no fees charged for the Longreach race meeting.
