The fifth round of funding for the Country Racing Program (CRP) will open on August 15, Racing Minister Grace Grace has announced.
In the last year alone, 50 CRP projects were awarded across the Sunshine State, with the fifth round to offer a total of $2.6 million in funding.
As part of a six-year commitment, the Palaszczuk Government is providing more than $105 million to support country racing including asset repairs and replenishment.
Minister Grace said the CRP grants would deliver jobs, infrastructure improvements and community benefits across the state.
“Over the past four years, more than 270 Country Racing Program projects have been awarded, providing much-needed repairs and maintenance to 85 country racing clubs,” she said.
“Just as importantly, it has delivered hundreds of jobs across the state.
"Country racing plays a critical role in Queensland and I’m delighted to make these funds available across the state.”
The fifth round of CRP applications opens on August 15 and will run through until Monday, September 12, 2022.
