Following a track inspection this afternoon, the Goondiwindi Race Club non-TAB race meeting on Saturday, September 10 has been abandoned due to the state of the track.
Gunsynd Park racecourse received 25mm of rainfall on Thursday night (following on from similar falls the previous week) and will not dry out sufficiently, making the track unsuitable for racing.
The club will still conduct a phantom betting meeting with all facilities available.
RQ will liaise with the club in regards to rescheduling the Cup meeting to another date.
Due to the abandonment, an additional race - Maiden Hcp 1000m - $21,000 - has been added to the Dalby & NDJC TAB meeting on September 17.
