RACE ONE BOUNTYHUNTER (2) was first up last start and having just his 3rd career outing when showing good speed off the arm from this same gate. Taking cover, he was then best of the chasers behind the 8m winner CHARLIE MY BOY. Fitter for the run, he finds the opportunity to open the account. GOTALUVASUNDAYSESH (1) resumed from a spell with a tough effort from gate 4 where he sat parked and was able to graft out a half-neck 2nd behind ROYAL WINKLE. Very plain second up from gate 6 after working in the run, from the improved gate he can turn it around. STUDLEIGH PATRICIA (6) was an eyecatcher on debut, where she got it all wrong out of the barrier. After losing a tonne of ground, she chased gamely. Banished to the ODM, she stays under notice. PAYOUT (5) will be on the overnight back-up after competing here on Wednesday night. Chasing the elusive first win bonus, he is given no favours from the tough gate for this assignment. SELECTIONS: BOUNTYHUNTER (2), GOTALUVASUNDAYSESH (1), STUDLEIGH PATRICIA (6), PAYOUT (5) SUGGESTED BET: BOUNTYHUNTER (2) to win
RACE TWO REEDS VISION (4) franked a smart trial with a debut victory here four runs back when pressing on from gate 5 to take the prize. Far from disgraced in a huge class rise second up, he showed the benefit of tackling these same conditions two back with an all the way win. He can go 3 from 5 in taking this. OCTOBER RACKETEER (5) was heavily supported last start to go to the post in red figures from this same alley. Taken back in the early stages, he was making a wide and sustained run to ultimately finish 6m from the winner WUNDERLAND. Runner-up two back, he can challenge again here. BARROOM BLITZ (1) found the pocket trail last start in a similar race and with the cosy trip in behind the speed was able to grab the bronze. Not suited in the three runs previous, the gate helps here. DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (2) started from the second line last start and was working wide off the track to finish just outside the money which followed a tough effort for 3rd. She can take an early shot.
SELECTIONS: REEDS VISION (4), OCTOBER RACKETEER (5), BARROOM BLITZ (1), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (2) SUGGESTED BET: REEDS VISION (4) to win
RACE THREE DARBY BRIGHTS (1) faced the outside second line last start and was trying to make a closing raid when finishing 8m from the winner LITTLEDEE. Game in defeat two back when asked to sit parked, she lands all the options here and gets her chance to add another victory to the tally. JANG PEL (2) had the ace here three starts back and darting through was looking to take them all the way when tiring in the closing stages in holding 3rd. Snagged off the arm at his past two from wider gates, back to the tight alley, he can take his shot. EASTBRO TEX (7) has stung favourite punters in his two appearances in Qld, going under deep into the red in both. Leading on both occasions, he will be chasing here. DOWNTOWN LUCCA (6) has been in nice touch with a 2nd placing when starting as favourite sandwiched between a pair of victories. The gate dents the chances, but he is still in the mix. SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (1), JANG PEL (2), EASTBRO TEX (7), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (6) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-7
RACE FOUR MELTON MAX GENTLE (2) is still chasing his first win of the season but might just have found the right conditions to capitalise upon. Snagged back form gate 4 over the AP mile last start, he was never in the hunt. From the gate he can be handy to the action to stake his claim. RISKY BUZINESS (3) had found a winning race at Marburg last start but missed out with the meeting washed out. Settling in the 1x1 trail over the AP mile last start, he finished midfield to JILLIBY GIZMO and with his good speed off the arm, can be up near the pointy end to throw down his challenge. SUBTLE ADVICE (1) had this gate last start and was soon hemmed away three back along the inside before making some late metres to be 7m in arrears when grabbing 3rd. He will be probing. OFFICE BAD BOY (4) has placed at his past two starts where the margins have been a half-head and a neck. Strong to the line from gate 8 last time out, he can be making a closing raid. SELECTIONS: MELTON MAX GENTLE (2), RISKY BUZINESS (3), SUBTLE ADVICE (1), OFFICE BAD BOY (4) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FIVE JET FORCE (2) started from inside the second line here two starts back and was soon snookered in the run and needing some space. Finding gaps to hit the line in smart order when 3m from the winner, his last start at headquarters was a handy effort. Settling handy, he can strike. GRIGORA (1) will be third up for the new stable and should appreciate a return to The Triangle after not having the greatest luck over the AP mile last time. First up when finishing 2m from the winner MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA on this deck, he has the gate to issue the challenge. MY SERCRET BEACH (6) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 5 appearances but is given no favours from gate 6 for this contest. Grabbed in the closing strides two starts back, he is in the mix. BETTOR ROCKNROLL (9) struck trouble last start from gate 7 and was out of play before making some nice ground in the closing stages. With all 3 career wins on this deck, he can chime in. SELECTIONS: JET FORCE (2), GRIGORA (1), MY SERCRET BEACH (6), BETTOR ROCKNROLL (9) SUGGESTED BET: JET FORCE (2) to win
RACE SIX VERMONT (3) was chasing down the hat-trick last start when working home wide off the track. Looming up strongly, she was not able to hold off the finishing momentum of STUDLEIGH WILL and had to settle for the silver. With her past four all from the second line, the improved gate helps. SHEZ GOT BLING (2) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start where she held the pocket trail from gate 1 and was able to hold on for the bronze behind ONLY ONCE BITTEN. Making a wide run here two starts back deep off the track, she can be close enough to make a challenge in this. MALIBU DREAM (1) started from this gate last start and was soon locked away when finishing 8m from the winner LEFTMEATTHEBAR. She had a chequered passage two back, with the gate helping. STUDLEIGH WILL (8) overcame gate 9 here last week when issuing the closing challenge wide off the track and taking a 3m margin. Runner-up two back, he can be swooping late on them again here. SELECTIONS: VERMONT (3), MALIBU DREAM (1), STUDLEIGH WILL (8), SHEZ GOT BLING (2) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN STUDLEIGH MARK (3) was sent to the breeze last start from gate 6 where he was required to work hard over the mile and was unable to handle the workload. Gunned down at Marburg two starts back, he finds his chance to take them all the way. ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (2) should appreciate an improved alley after facing a wide gate at his past four in succession. Hitting the line smartly last start from back in the pack after retreating from gate 5, he can settle closer to the action to throw down the challenge here. THE WEEKEND (8) makes his first appearance for the Ron Sallis stable after his last appearance at Bathurst over one month ago. An eight-time winner, he can follow through to feature first up. AUGUSTA HANOVER (1) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start at just her 4th career start and after being left exposed, wilted to be at the tail of the field. The gate helps her chances. SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH MARK (3), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (2), THE WEEKEND (8), AUGUSTA HANOVER (1) SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH MARK (3) to win
RACE EIGHT IDEAL TIGER (8) has been strong in recent outings where he can boast a pair of wins in his past five appearances. Proving too tough for them two runs back when sitting parked and grafting out the win, he was then parked out last start when 2m in arrears of the winner. With the right trail he can arrive. MISTER DIAMOND (7) was picking up good metres over the closing stages two starts back at the AP 2138m and was only 3m in arrears of the winner CANT BLUFF YOU. Forced to work too hard last start and fading under the pressure, he has limited exposure here at Redcliffe and will need some gaps. THE GENERAL (5) has placed in both starts for the new stable, the latest after setting the tempo before being collared in the stretch by the impressive SOEXTRA. The gate stings but he has claims. ROSARITO (1) settled in the running line last start and was trying to make some closing metres when midfield behind THE GROGFATHER. Runner-up from this gate three runs back, he has podium hopes. SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (8), MISTER DIAMOND (7), THE GENERAL (5), ROSARITO (1) SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL TIGER (8) to win
RACE NINE SAILALONG SINBAD (7) could not go with them last start in a 2nd division qualifier over the AP 2138m and finished at the tail of the field. Making some late metres for the bronze two starts back, he will secure an economical trip and if he has the momentum when the passing lane presents, can put the spinnaker up in the stretch. SWEET JASMINE (3) has placed at her past two starts, the latest when working to the line in handy fashion for the bronze behind AMUESED. Wide off the track two starts back, she can settle handy to the action and with the right trip issue the challenge. WUNDERLAND (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint as he chases a hat-trick of wins on this deck. Grafting it out first over to score last start, he can chime into the money. STORMTIDE (8) made the most of a front-line gate here two starts back and took them all the way. Trying to make a closing play last start as MI FURIOSO TORO pulled clear, he is a place hope in this. SELECTIONS: SAILALONG SINBAD (7), SWEET JASMINE (3), WUNDERLAND (6), STORMTIDE (8) SUGGESTED BET: SAILALONG SINBAD (7) to win
