RACE ONE SIR BOSTON (3) returns from a spell after his last appearance back in August. Breaking the maiden status with that victory, it was a tidy effort. Placed in a further four starts this season, he is only a 2YO tackling the older horses, but looks to have the class to take this fresh. WHISKY BANDIT (1) has the solitary placing in 13 attempts and will be taking his first look at Marburg in this contest. Wide gates have hampered his chances at his past two starts and with the improved alley, secures his chance to challenge for a win. DESTINY BLUES (9) was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when finding the front from gate 3 and taking them all the way. Beaten by a tough gate in a harder race last start, she can chime in. AUNTY FRANCES (6) should find this a little easier than her last outing when finishing 14m away from the winner RAFFERTY DELIGHTS. Likely to be buried, she will be probing. SELECTIONS: SIR BOSTON (3), WHISKY BANDIT (1), DESTINY BLUES (9), AUNTY FRANCES (6) SUGGESTED BET: SIR BOSTON (3) to win
RACE TWO DARBY BRIGHTS (3) rolled forward from gate 4 to sit parked last start and after the tough trip, faded to a midfield finish. Making some closing metres two starts back for 3rd behind DOWNTOWN LUCCA, she can force the issue here and looks to have found breakthrough conditions. CIRCLE LINE (9) has been racing in consistent fashion, hitting the board at 5 of his past 7. Making some late metres to grab the bronze last start behind ABBEY DIADEMA, he receives no favours from gate 9, but can do the work if required to challenge. LITTLEDEE (4) was asked to do it the tough way last start at Redcliffe, wilting late after the tough trip from gate 6. She may need to be working at some point again here. CHANG (1) was runner-up from the trail two starts back on The Triangle. With the economical trip against the poles, he will be searching for the gaps. SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (3), CIRCLE LINE (9), LITTLEDEE (4), CHANG (1) SUGGESTED BET: DARBY BRIGHTS (3) to win
RACE THREE MANOFLISA (2) found the front at Redcliffe last time out and repelling the challengers in the run was unable to see it out. Going back to the trials since that outing, he can look to take control here and if grabbing an easy time early, will give them plenty to chase down. JAYDES TERROR (5) is afforded no favours from the outside paint here but might just be going well enough to challenge against this opposition. Grabbing 3rd on this deck last start from the second line, she was runner-up to RISKY BUZINESS here three back. KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (6) will be needing some luck and will be probing for the openings. Gates have been against him in recent starts, and he is a podium chance with the right luck. TALEGGIO (3) returns from a spell after winning here back in June before being sent for the break. Not far away in previous starts, he can be chime in fresh. SELECTIONS: MANOFLISA (2), JAYDES TERROR (5), KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (6), TALEGGIO (3) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FOUR ROCCO VARIETY (7) has a tidy record on this deck with a pair of wins and 6 minors in 9 attempts. Snagged off the gate from 6 last time at Redcliffe, he never got a crack at them. Placed his precious two which had followed a win here at Marburg, he can push through to make a play. TULHURST CUDDLES (4) was sent forward from gate 5 last start to sit parked and after the tough trip was grafting it out to be just 1m from the winner. Runner-up at her previous two starts, she can get forward again here to throw it down. FLY CHEVAL (8) was able to find the pocket trail last start over the AP mile and fought on to hold 3rd behind CLARES FOOL. With the right trip she can be joining in. MELTON MAX GENTLE (1) led them up last start at Redcliffe and was a spent force a long way from home after a slick first quarter. He will be burrowing through and has claims. SELECTIONS: ROCCO VARIETY (7), TULHURST CUDDLES (4), FLY CHEVAL (8), MELTON MAX GENTLE (1) SUGGESTED BET: ROCCO VARIETY (7) to win
RACE FIVE SHAKATIE (1) was staring down a hat-trick of wins last start when sent to the post as the fav over the Redcliffe 2040. Leading them deep into the stretch, she could not quite hold on, finishing 3rd when 2m from the winner. From the inside alley, she gets every chance to take them all the way. TEACHERS PET (2) is a six-time winner here on the Little M and after going on a long consistent run her form started to taper. Freshened since her last outing after fading from the breeze, she can settle handy to the action here and look make a challenge. JET FORCE (6) has been a beaten fav at headquarters in 2 of his past 3, the latest when 4m from the winner. He will be buried here and searching for a way clear to join in. LOOKS JUST RIGHT (7) has found some consistency and added another minor to the tally last start. Hitting the board at his past five in succession, he can be thereabouts again here. SELECTIONS: SHAKATIE (1), TEACHERS PET (2), JET FORCE (6), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (7) SUGGESTED BET: SHAKATIE (1) to win
RACE SIX SCHEU CREEK (2) is still chasing his first win of 2022, with his last victory here on this deck in October last year. Making some nice metres last start off the second line, the improved gate can be the catalyst for him getting on the board. JAY TEE TYRON (4) has been around this track on 11 occasions and come up winless. Beaten by the outside second line at Redcliffe last start, he was a beaten fav at that same venue two back after unable to secure position. Despite the tricky gate he can throw down a challenge. VOODOO FELLA (3) is on the back up from Friday at The Creek where he looked a chance to grab some minor money. A three-time winner here, with the right trip he can join in. MONTEREY JACK (7) might find this battle a shade easier than recent outings, the latest when 8m from the winner CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM. With the right early trail he can make a play. SELECTIONS: SCHEU CREEK (2), JAY TEE TYRON (4), VOODOO FELLA (3), MONTEREY JACK (7) SUGGESTED BET: SCHEU CREEK (2) to win
RACE SEVEN MASTER CHARLES (3) takes his first look at this deck but brings the right credentials to make it a winning debut. Chasing in the slop at Redcliffe last start behind the short-priced winner SWDISH STARLET, he had placed his previous five in succession and can use his early speed to capitalise. SHARP SHOOTER (8) was snookered away last start from the second line over the AP mile and when finding space was hitting the line in nice order to be just 4m away. Making late ground to grab the bronze the start prior, he can make a closing challenge here. STUDLEIGH SONNY (9) started from two out the second line last time over the AP mile and was best of the chasers to grab the silver behind TUNGSTEN TERROR. He will be chasing again. SUPERBON (1) was a beaten fav last start at HQ after sitting in the trail and unable to go on with it. Over 12 months since his last victory, he is a podium hope here. SELECTIONS: MASTER CHARLES (3), SHARP SHOOTER (8), STUDLEIGH SONNY (9), SUPERBON (1) SUGGESTED BET: MASTER CHARLES (3) to win
RACE EIGHT WOODLEA DIEGO (2) was trying to make a closing rally last start but found them a little out of reach as SHEZA BONNY SHEILA took them all the way. A starchy effort two back when 6m from THE SPORTZ STAR, he can fire off the arm and look to dictate his way back into winning form. SQUARE DEALER (8) should appreciate this level of contest after meeting some stronger opposition of late. Not too far from SAVING MAJOR PERCY in Saturday night grade last time, he faces a tricky gate but with the right run through soon after the start, he finds conditions to challenge. GLENLEDI COMMANDER (4) returns from a spell after his last start was in much tougher company when down the line behind DANCE IN THE SUN. A qualifying winner four back, he can feature fresh. WHAT A JOLT (1) will secure the cosy trip in behind the speed here and just needs to spot a gap. His recent efforts have been encouraging and he is not far away from turning it around. SELECTIONS: WOODLEA DIEGO (2), SQUARE DEALER (8), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (4), WHAT A JOLT (1) SUGGESTED BET: WOODLEA DIEGO (2) to win
RACE NINE CLARENDEN DAZZLER (1) is the big beneficiary following the barrier draw and will strip fitter following his return from a spell last time out. That was on this track when the leader set a sizzling closing 800m and with his early speed, he gets his chance to make it 4 from 7 on this deck, his previous 3 all recorded when leading throughout. STUDLEIGH MARK (7) powered up early from gate 6 over the AP mile last time out and once in control was able to defy the challengers to take the prize. The gate hurts but he is up to it. MELTON INSULTED (3) has had a super year on this track and lines up after bouncing back into winning form at headquarters last time out. Leading all the way to a new PB, she has claims again. OKINAWA BEACH (6) was sent to sit parked from outside the front-line last time out and grafting it out was only 5m in arrears of the winner. She will be probing for openings here.
